On Santa's lap

Amelia is still wary of Santa this year, so she has passed up numerous opportunities to see him or sit on his lap. Instead, she's suggested that I tell Santa what she and Isaac might like for Christmas. Once when I asked if she wanted to have her picture taken with Santa, she suggested that maybe Santa could take a picture of us! :)

One night, after missing out on her preschool's Evening with Santa, we told Amelia that maybe Daddy would pretend to be Santa. You can see Luke's hilarious and creative in-a-pinch costume below. The funny thing was that Amelia still seemed kind of weirded out by Luke in costume and was very serious when she told "Santa" what she would like for Christmas ("a box that plays music and has a princess inside that twirls and something for Isaac"). Afterward, she wanted to know just what Luke put in his shirt to make his belly big, and then she took a turn being Santa!
