Well, we thought we had (very narrowly) missed out on a one-of-a-kind snowstorm at the end of December, but we thought wrong. Thanks to two more massive snowstorms in early February, we too got to experience the joys of being homebound day after day with two small children and shoveling our driveway in all our spare time. Of course, Amelia and Isaac loved seeing all the snow and being outside and playing in the piles once we were able to shovel out a play area in the yard so they didn't immediately sink up to their necks. But of course our inappropriate snow gear (cotton gloves that soaked through almost immediately and a lack of snow boots for everyone except Isaac) meant that our time getting ready to go outside often lasted longer than the outside time itself. And so, our days involved a lot of dressing and undressing, taking of warm baths, drinking hot chocolate, baking, and eating up those baked goods. Really not too bad now that I think about it. :)

Great snow pictures -- it's fun to see just how deep it was! Playing in the snow, making snowpeople, drinking hot chocolate, baking and even dealing with freezing little hands and feet and cabin fever will no doubt make for warm, happy memories in the future!
