In the months preceding Isaac's fourth birthday, we asked him what kind of birthday party he might like for him and his friends: maybe Star Wars or Batman, things that he was talking about a lot? Out of seemingly nowhere, he tells us he wants a "Captain America party. " I had, of course,
heard of Captain America, but I had to Google him to see what his story was. First Avenger, Nazi killer, etc. (I guess this is what they talk about at preschool all morning??) But we could handle Captain America and red, white and blue plus a little gymnastics to satisfy the energy level of 13 3- to 5-year-olds. It was great!
