Apple picking

Yesterday we took a family trip to the western part of Northern Virginia to go apple picking. Amelia is really into eating "a big apple" (off the core, not cut up), so I thought it would be fun for her to see how apples grow. It was a gorgeous, sunny fall day, and we all had a really nice time. We had the orchard's homemade apple butter on our pancakes this morning, and our afternoon activity will be making pie with the peck of apples we brought home.
