For months now, whenever we drive past a local gardening center with a giant (working!) watering can and fluorescent palm trees out front, Amelia announces, "These things make me happy!" The first time she said it, I mistakenly thought she was referring to whatever we happened to be talking about at the time. But no, it's definitely the giant sculptures, as she says it every single time we pass them.
Recently we discovered something else that makes her happy. This giant metal sculpture near National Harbor:

Hilarious! I can't believe we never saw this gardening center when we lived out there. It would make me happy, too.
