Miss Aviya, the dental assistant, was so patient and thorough, explaining everything she was doing and even finding Amelia some special pink princess glasses to wear to protect her eyes from the bright light. Amelia was a super cooperator, opening her mouth wide "like a lion" and letting Aviya count and polish all her 20 teeth.
Amelia also got the important job of holding on to "Mr. Thirsty," who helped clean her mouth out whenever she got extra "juicy." Aviya would brush with the special spinning brush and then Amelia got a turn with Mr. Thirsty.
Dr. Dan came in at the end and declared Amelia's teeth 100% healthy and beautiful. He even said the spacing of her teeth should be great when the adult teeth come in and hopefully keep her from ever needing braces -- although he wouldn't make any promises! :)
At the end, Amelia got a new Eeyore toothbrush, sparkly toothpaste, and an alligator flosser -- and got to choose TWO items from the treasure chest since her birthday is coming right up! All in all, a very positive and fun experience for Amelia.
