After being graciously invited many times to Baby Loves Disco by my friend (and name twin) Susannah, who runs the DC location, our family was finally able to go in May. BLD is a dance party for kids and their grown-ups, where kids can dance to kid-friendly "adult" music, play, snack, and get their faces (or hands, in Amelia's case) painted while their adults sit back and order a drink from the bar. We went to an early-morning one, so no alcoholic beverages were consumed by Luke or me, but it was a fun, fun time nonetheless, and we will be back again in the fall. Thanks, Susannah!!
And here is a little video that pretty well captures Amelia's awe and excitement at BLD. Too bad I took the video sideways and don't have the video editing software to rotate it. Oh well. Just turn your head (or computer) sideways and enjoy! :)
