Dyeing Easter Eggs

Since the kids had Good Friday off from preschool and my dad had the day off of work, the kids and I went over to my parents house for some pre-Easter egg dyeing fun while Luke had to work. My grandma was there, too, because her retirement home got badly damaged by a tornado a couple of weeks ago during all the crazy southern storms. Fortunately, everyone in her community was safe and completely uninjured because they were at dinner downstairs when the tornado came through, and even though MeMe's dog was still up in her apartment, Zoe used her canine instincts and hid in the pantry during the storm and came out completely unscathed despite the lifted roof and blown-out windows!

Amelia works hard on designing her egg before it goes in the dye...

purple, of course!

The egg dyeing eventually devolved into tickle matches for Isaac and Granddaddy

And then it was dress-up time in Granddaddy's closet
(bow ties, Carolina gear and Homer slippers are actually pretty quintessential for my dad!)

And now this is our kids' new favorite thing to do whenever we go to my parents' house. Sorry, Dad! I guess grandparents have to worry about setting precedents, too. :)
