Lions and Mermaids and Cinderella Superhero Wizards -- Oh My!

Halloween was a week-long event around our house this year. Between parties at school and at playgroup, at dance class and music class, at Papa's house and at our favorite consignment store, the kids got to wear several costumes each. I'm still kicking myself for not getting a photo of Isaac in the outfit of his choosing for evening storytelling and s'mores at Papa's: Cinderella dress + super hero mask + wizard hat on top of long-sleeved football pajamas = most hilariously adorable little boy!

Tiny lion on the way to our neighborhood Halloween party  -- Sunset Creeky -- on the 30th
The Little Mermaid "swimming" her way around the circle to the start of the Sunset Creeky Halloween parade

(Isaac is crying and being held up by me because he was pretty freaked out by the Darth Maul mask -- it WAS creepy!)

Halloween night at last: Let us Trick-or-Treat!!

Both of the kids really got into the spirit (ha, ha) of Halloween and loved giving out treats as much as they liked getting and eating them. Although Isaac was freaked out by a few scary masks, overall he seemed much less scared of Halloween than Amelia did at this age. They were both trick-or-treating troopers!

Looks like a great week! You guys were as busy as we were. Don't you feel like Halloween is much BIGGER now than when we were kids?
